Parenting through the teen years is uniquely challenging! We feel the pressure to get it right because the stakes are high, and the time we have left with our teens can feel like it’s slipping away. It’s easy to be so focused on the day-to-day tasks and choices that we forget where we’re headed—a day when our teenagers will be adults who leave home and begin making the majority of their decisions on their own. This 4-week parenting study we are offering for our moms leans on some of our favorite experts—Tim Elmore, Sissy Goff, David Thomas, and Gerald Fadayomi—to talk about what it looks like to parent our teens where they are today while also moving them toward a future of confidence and independence. We cover topics like dating and relationships, technology, faith, and the important shift we need to make as parents to prepare our kids for the road ahead. The first meeting will be on October 15 at 10am at Hamilton Mill Church in the Auburn Starting Point Room.
